At Lagan we believe that every little helps and we support the idea of improving the quality of life for members and groups of our communities.

We are proud of our involvement and support of Saplings Midlands. Saplings Midlands is a school which was established in February 2006, to assist in the education of children with Autism and to provide the opportunity to the children to fulfill their potential.

Autism is a developmental delay that can cause difficulty in language development, understanding social relationships, reaction to sensory responses, uneven patterns of intellectual functioning and a marked restriction of activity and interests.

The Sapling’s model of education utilises the principle of behaviour analysis, a psychological discipline, which is the scientific study of behaviour. Saplings apply this principle through Applied Behaviour Analysis (or A.B.A) to help solve human problems.

Lagan Cement has entered into a three year partnership with the Saplings Midlands charity and has pledged annual funding to them over this period.
