BES 6001 Responsible Sourcing is a framework standard where Construction Products are assessed in terms of their social, environmental and economic impacts and is used to manage the impacts of the product from the sources of its raw materials, through its manufacture and delivery and ultimately its use, reuse or final disposal.

Lagan Cement is committed to BES 6001 to demonstrate to all our stakeholders that we will ensure sustainable production and will use our buying power to influence our suppliers to become more responsible in their businesses also.

Through achieving this standard, Lagan Cement will gain a competitive advantage that will enable us to expand into further markets where customers are demanding greater social accountability and environmental responsibility from products.

Responsible Sourcing Policy

Following our accreditation to this standard, Lagan Cement are now proud to display the mark for the BES 6001 Standard for our bulk and bagged CEM II cements. Through achieving this standard, Lagan Cement has further demonstrated our commitment to Environmental Sustainability and Responsible Production.
