The Health & Safety of all our employees, contractors and visitors is a core value of Lagan Cement.
Our formal Safety policy ensures that we comply with all statutory provisions and that all daily operational procedures support our managers and supervisors in overseeing a safe environment for all staff.
Individual employees and subcontractors are also made aware through briefings and safety policy display boards, of their responsibilities in avoiding risk to themselves as well as fellow workers.
We have a dedicated Safety Manager who reports to the board of directors of Lagan Cement and the Senior Management team on all matters of Health, Safety and Welfare. There are also a number of Safety Representatives from the workforce that meets regularly as part of the safety committee.
Lagan Cement is an OHSAS 18001:2007 accredited site.
Lagan Cement has won many safety awards over the years from various bodies. These include; NISO: 2007/2008/2009 ICF: 2008/2009 QPANI: 2009
