> About Us
Lagan Cement, based at Kinnegad, Co.Meath, operates one of the most modern cement manufacturing facilities in Europe. Consequently Lagan Cement also operates to the highest standards of emissions control as imposed under IPPC licensing by the Environmental Protection Agency.
Since production commenced in October of 2002, we have achieved considerable success in the Cement market throughout Ireland, in addition to accreditations for Quality, Environmental Management Systems and Safety Management Systems.
Our key objectives include maintaining our strong market position through the provision of quality products and services, in conjunction with considerable investments in technology, people and improved processes.
As a responsible organisation, we are also acutely aware of our responsibility to develop in a sustainable way, while continually striving for improvements in Environmental and Safety performances.

Our Facility has a production capability of 700,000 tonnes per year of Cement, comprising of CEM I 42.5R Bulk and CEM II/A-L 42.5N Bulk and Bag Cement, available for both the domestic and export markets.
The Works are located on a site which covers 500 acres approx., and provides limestone, shale and clay reserves in ample supply and close proximity to their required point of use
Our main stack represents one fo the highest free standing steel structure in Ireland at 125 metres, some 5 meters higher than Dublin Millennium Spire.
